JOHN C. TRUESDELL

John C. Truesdell, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Reserve Affairs, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. Within the Air Force, he is responsible for coordinating, planning and establishing policy for the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve and Civil Air Patrol. His areas of responsibility include personnel, manpower, organization, force structure, logistics, inspections, budget, legislation, facilities, construction, operational training, exercises, and peacetime support activities, the organizing and training of Individual Mobilization Augmentees, and unit location or relocation.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Truesdell served 30 years on active duty in ranks from private to colonel. He earned his commission as a distinguished graduate of Baylor University’s ROTC program in 1963. Mr. Truesdell commanded in combat, served in the offices of the Army Chief of Staff, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the National Security Council, and was the senior adviser to the California National Guard.
